After serving with churches and ministries in a variety of roles, I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve at Westport Road as engagement minister - where I get to connect with people in all walks of life and help them take their next step of faith. My approach to ministry is this: we are all on a journey, and I want to walk with others where we learn (together!) how to follow Jesus more faithfully - thus becoming the people we are meant to be.
I love: taking a walk in the woods (made even better if there is a stream or waterfall nearby), traveling (some of my favorites: Yosemite in California & Petra in Jordan), and studying history (because, of course, it's better to learn from it than repeat it). I enjoy: cereal (anytime of the day), iced tea with just a little sugar (which makes me odd here in the south), ice cream (especially anything with caramel), and music that I've been listening to since college (The Lost Dogs, the 77s, and The Call come to mind). You can learn more about what I'm thinking and writing about at The Dyealogue.
I met my wife Kim at Kentucky Christian University, and we've been married since 1991. We have 3 adult children - but sadly, no grandchildren yet! :)
