The Westport Road Children's Ministry helps children from birth through 5th grade to know God's love. The ministry includes children, parents, grandparents, and supporters of children. Partnering with parents, children  grow in their faith through worship, Bible study, service to others, and world outreach. Westport Road offers a variety of learning experiences including Sunday morning worship and Bible study, service opportunities, social gatherings, and family events.

Security
Westport Road implements multiple strategies to ensure a safe learning environment for our children.

Check In & Pick Up
Safety and security of our children are extremely important. We use a computerized system that generates a name tag for each child and a claim check for parents. The name tag includes emergency contact information of the parent and lists any allergies or health precautions of the child. Upon arrival, parents to the Children's Ministry Welcome Desks located in the Connector Room.  Welcome Desk volunteers  prepare a name tag for each child and provide the other part of the name tag for the parent. For pickup, the parent turns in their claim check to the Children's Ministry leader. If a parent does not have a claim check, the parent may be asked to show an ID. Ministry leaders will not release children to an older sibling.

Background Checks

Every adult serving in the Children's Ministry Program completes a background check.

Supervision

Every Children's Ministry Program is lead by an adult who is at least 18 years or older. Children receive ongoing supervision to and from the classroom setting, within the classroom and to and from the restroom.
